The problem
The gap is not capability
Most people who have these tools at work do not use them for much. Survey after survey finds the same shape: broad access, occasional use, and a small group who use them daily. The gap is not about intelligence and it is not about age — it is that nobody has handed an experienced manager a version of this that respects what they already know.
What is on offer is usually a beginner tutorial that explains what a browser is, or a technical deep-dive that assumes you write code. Neither is aimed at someone who has been briefing people for twenty years.

You already have the skill
You know how to brief someone: here is the context, here is what I need, here is what good looks like. That is the entire skill. The only new part is that this thing never asks clarifying questions unless you tell it to.
Start with something small and annoying
Most people pick something impressive — write my business plan, analyse my industry — and get back four paragraphs of oatmeal. Pick the email you have been avoiding for nine days instead.
Nothing gets explained twice as fast as you need it
Every technical term gets a plain-English translation in the same sentence, every time. You will not be asked to remember what a context window is from a previous session.
I will tell you when the answer is no
Some of what people want from AI it cannot do yet. Finding that out in an hour is worth more than finding it out in a quarter.

I am not an AI expert. I am a project manager — Agile and change management, twenty-five years — who got tired of feeling behind and started about nine months before you did. That is the whole qualification, and it turns out to be the useful one: I know a real solution from a shiny one because I have shipped real work under real constraints.
